Some of the typical configurations of an interLink Hawaii wireless network include:

basic cell consists of an access point and the wireless workstations associated with it. You can convert most workstations (PCs, X-Terminals, Apple, Digital, SUN, HP, IBM and others) that are equipped with an Ethernet network interface card (NIC) to wireless workstations simply by connecting a Station Adapter. You can convert most laptop computers with a PCMCIA slot into a wireless mobile station by using an SA-PC wireless PC card adapter.

The basic cell configuration looks like:

When two adjacent Access Points are positioned close enough to each other, a part of the coverage area of Access Point #1 overlaps that of Access Point #2. This overlapping area has two very important attributes:

Contiguous-cells, allowing roaming between the different access points, would look like this:

The Wireless Bridge enables a high-speed, wide-range wireless LAN bridge that provides connectivity to remote Ethernet networks.

The wireless bridge communicates with the Access Points of the remote LANs effectively creating an extended wireless network spanning sites situated up to 10 miles apart. In this way a central Ethernet LAN may be connected with one or more branch office LANs.

These configurations may be combined to provide the flexibility to meet your needs.
