Internet Basic Training

This is a basic introduction to the Internet, designed for beginners who are able to log on successfully and are now asking themselves, "OK, what now?". The course consists of 3 2-hour sessions. Normally we give the course from 6:30 - 8:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We send out email announcements periodically with the schedule.

The computers at our training facility are running Windows.  If you have a Macintosh, you will stll be able to get value from this course, since the programs are essentially the same, however there are slight differences in the Mac versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.

Note that we're using Internet Explorer 5.x. and Outlook Express 5.x. If you have a different version, or a different browser and email program, you may have some difficulty with what we're presenting in the class.

Prerequisites:
interLink Hawaii subscriber, able to log in to the Internet using our service, using MSIE 5.x
Kona Location:
interLink Kona office, corner of Kaiwi and Pawai Place next to Kona Locksmith and Pot Belli Deli Call 334-4000 for instructions.
Hilo Location:
interLink Hilo office, S.Hata Building, 308 Kam Ave, upstairs from Cafe Pesto. At the top of the stairs or the elevator, walk towards Hilo Bay. Call 933-3299 for instructions.

3 2-hour sessions
Format:
Instructor-led, live Internet connection. No more than 2 students per computer. Class size limited to 8 students.
