In order to use DSL service, you must have an Ethernet connection to your computer, and your computer must be correctly configured and capable of high-speed TCP/IP operation.

The interLink setup charge for DSL is $50.00. Please ask about the current Verizon setup charges. Hawaii State GE tax will be added to all charges.

You have your choice of DSL with dialup or without.  If you choose without, you will only be able to access the Internet through your DSL connection.  For an additional $10/month you can add dialup capability as well, so that you can use your interLink account with a free local phone call anywhere in Hawaii.

DSL service is priced according to the speed of the connection.   Because the service is asymmetric, the upload speed (sending from your computer to the Internet) does not have to be the same as the download speed (receiving from the Internet to your computer). PLEASE READ THIS: You will NOT get the speeds shown in the chart above.  Those are the MAXIMUM POSSIBLE speeds on each type of service.  The actual speed you get will be less than what is shown, and will depend on the moment-to-moment traffic load on Verizon's network.  This is not a criticism of Verizon, it's just the way shared service works.

Verizon is the provider of DSL connections in Hawaii. Verizon connects you to our network using the DSL service, and from there we connect you to the Internet. You pay a monthly fee to Verizon for the connection, and another monthly fee to interLink for the Internet service.

DSL is not dedicated service, it is a shared service utilizing frame relay or ATM to aggregate bandwidth.  This is true for all ISP's, and not an option. Because of this, DSL service is inconsistent and not suitable for applications requiring true dedicated bandwidth.  interLink can provide dedicated T-1 and fractional T-1 service -- please inquire for details and pricing.
